Simon was also the bassist of the band he had formed with his friends in their sophomore year: Eric, Matt, Kirk, and, later, Jordan. He soon developed romantic feelings for her and pined for her for the next ten years without voicing affections. When he was six, he met Clary Fray and the pair became inseparable best friends. He is the second and youngest child of Elaine and her late husband Levi and was born after his older sister, Rebecca. Simon Lewis was born into a Jewish family in New York.
